Duct Tape Art

This gallery collects work made with duct tape (gaffer tape) — wall pieces, installations and temporary interventions in interiors, on facades and at events.

What makes duct tape different as a material

Duct tape is opaque, matte and strong. It is cut and applied by hand rather than painted on, so edges stay sharp and colour fields sit cleanly against each other. That sets it apart from transparent packing tape, which works with light rather than opacity.

  • Wall pieces and large-format motifs
  • Interiors and workspaces
  • Trade fair and event builds
  • Temporary work with a fixed end date

For the material comparison see packing tape art. Common questions are answered in the tape art FAQ, and client work is collected under commissioned art.
