Selfie out of duct tape
The selfie is clearly a tendency these days, due to the advanced mobile technology available on the market. Everybody is doing it, so
This gallery collects work made with duct tape (gaffer tape) — wall pieces, installations and temporary interventions in interiors, on facades and at events.
Duct tape is opaque, matte and strong. It is cut and applied by hand rather than painted on, so edges stay sharp and colour fields sit cleanly against each other. That sets it apart from transparent packing tape, which works with light rather than opacity.
For the material comparison see packing tape art. Common questions are answered in the tape art FAQ, and client work is collected under commissioned art.

Three-dimensional wall artwork out of GAFFA tape: In 2013, I taped this musical duct tape graffiti at RBC Bank Canada Event

The four-meter three-dimensional installation created out of duct and parcel tape only within just seven days. Over 400 rolls of duct tape were used up to create this artwork

To create this tape artwork I applied a similar technique as with JFK Portrait. The only difference was that the portrait served as background glass and here the background was not transparent
